Wait a minute! How could it possibly be Labor Day week when it feels like the summer just started?!?!?

Whether we are ready or not, here we are!!! My Kellogg leadership classes are about to start, board meeting schedules are all set, and I am planning my next 20 talks to companies, associations, and nonprofits to continue raising funds for the One Acre Fund in Africa.

With the summer coming to an end, it seemed only right to focus on a few fun activities before things get too crazy work wise.

First, and most important, making sure we have the opportunity to spend time with the entire growing family. With five children, two grandchildren, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and Shannon recently getting engaged, that brings “the gang” to a total of 12, making things more merrier than ever.

Here’s an example of getting all 12 of us on the same boat ride.

Second, there is still time for a few more Chicago Cubs games. Despite the fact the Cubs are seven games behind the Milwaukee Brewers, they have a good chance of being one of the wildcard teams, so anything can happen (and hopefully something good will happen👍😊🙏)

Third, Julie and I had a chance to visit some good friends up in Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire. (Remember the movie “What About Bob” with Bill Murray?)😂😂 We visited some fun sites, and I will admit I definitely consumed a lot of ice cream!!😂

Here’s hoping you have a great start to September!!🙏😊
