First of all, I want to wish all of you celebrating Christmas or Hanukkah a wonderful holiday season.
It was fantastic that Julie and I were able to get together with our entire family, including our first grandchild, Harrison.

If that wasn’t busy enough, we then drove up to Minnesota to get together with more than 30 of our Kraemer and Jansen relatives and had a surprise guest at one of the family parties!!
You guessed it, nobody knows exactly who it was, but somebody pretending to be Santa Claus showed up at the house. I will leave it up to all of you to guess who it could possibly be. Here are a few pictures that may provide some clues.
Here’s a close-up of Santa:
Here’s one of Santa with one of the little cousins:

Here’s one with “little Daniel” (now at 6’7”)…..amazing that he still believes in Santa.

And, believe it or not, Julie also wanted to ask Santa for presents!!!🤣🤣

Let’s just say “a good time was had by all!” I was sorry to miss him.

Second, as I was writing this post on Sunday afternoon, I received the news alert that President Jimmy Carter passed away at the age of 100 years old.

Many historians have criticized his four years as president from 1976 to 1980. It is easy to find fault with many of the decisions he made.
However, as I discuss in detail in my new book, “Your Values-based Legacy,” we will all get measured in this life by the impact we have during our entire life, not just one portion of our life.
The accomplishments of Jimmy Carter in the 44 years since leaving office are truly remarkable. Among his many accomplishments since leaving the White House are establishing the Carter Center focused on working for world peace and being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. He was also the leading proponent of Habitat for Humanity around the world.
Time Magazine quotes Emory President James Laney once said: “Jimmy Carter is the only person in history for whom the presidency was a steppingstone.”
The Economist stated: “Jimmy Carter was perhaps the most virtuous of all America’s presidents.”
Jimmy Carter was a man of great faith….may God be always with him. 🙏
