I took a long walk last Sunday and reflected on Father’s Day from four dimensions:
First, reflecting on how fortunate and blessed I am to be the father of five children. Every day is clearly an adventure.😂

Second, I reflected on the amazing joy I have experienced in the past 2 1/2 years becoming a grandfather of two phenomenal grandchildren, Harrison and Everett. I can never spend enough time with them.

Third, I thought about my dad, Harry Kraemer, who I was named after, and I was actually born on his birthday. It seems like yesterday he was teaching me to read and started my love for Baseball and Movies.

Fourth, I thought of my maternal grandfather, Farrell Grehan, who was a history teacher in Queens, New York. Whenever I would visit him he would take me for long walks in Central Park and discuss world history, even as a six and seven-year-old. Sixty years later, every time I pick up a history book, I can picture him smiling down at me from heaven.

For any of you who are blessed to have your father or grandfathers still living, I would strongly recommend you spend time with them now. It may be tempting if you’re busy to put it off until later, but you never know whether there will be a later.
A friend of mine sent me the following article from The New York Times which I thought you may enjoy as you think about Father’s Day:
